Boat on the lake Leman

Once, on the way back from fiming a conference, I stopped near the shore of Leman Lake, in Versoix, near Geneva. I got this new Sony HRV-A1E HDV camera I wanted to try outside too ! And a nice lake/boat scenery started in front of my eyes (and those of my camera), you can see... Then with the man seated on a banch next to my tripod, an improvised philisophical discussion started. He was amazed at my equipement, (I was using a big tripod used for Broadcast camera) and I told him I was trying my new Sony high def. camera. He replied saying that the Japanese are conquering the world with their hi-tech devices. I agreed with him, and added that when we live in a favorabe and peaceful area of the world, we can have fantastic hobbies, but sadly too we were both realizing that many people in the world cannot afford or even dream to play with such toys... He himself was originally from Tunisia. Anyway an unexpected story that I remember each time I see the movie, by the way, if you understand french, you can listen the sound of our dialog that was captured by the camera. I must say my filming location was on direct line below airplanes on approach of Geneva airport, so it's a bit noisy... Next time I'll be careful about that....
